ESTES PARK WEDDING VENUES

A guide to our favorite venues in Estes Park

A list of Estes Park Wedding Venues
from locals who have photographed weddings at each!

To be completely honest, each of the wedding venues in Estes Park that are listed here are spectacular in their own way, and there are more venues than what we have here. This is only a few of the ones we’ve had the privilege of working with. We live in Estes Park and work with the folks that run these places on a regular basis. We have and keep a good rapport with these people and they are all kind, honest folks. That being said, there are things that make one venue stand out over the others for a particular reason, which you’ll read about below. We are on the preferred vendor list for most of these venues and we love each one in their own way.

Let’s get started going over our picks for the best Estes Park wedding venues here in this crazy, beautiful mountain town.

By the way, each of the titles below are links to the respective venue. I will be updating this as we photograph more and more at each of these too. If you have any questions or concerns please use the contact page to get in touch. We usually respond within an hour.

All of the photos you see here are ours, of course!

Skyview at Fall River Village, owned by the Stanley Hotel

The recently constructed “head turner” here in Estes Park is the aptly named Skyview at Fall River Village. Modern, up-scale, and perfect for larger weddings, this would be the choice for couples with groups of up to 110 people that want modern luxury. The folks that manage the SkyView are good people in all aspects. They will take care of you and make you feel like family for your wedding day.

Let’s talk about the construction a bit. No expense was spared so that this structure would stand out, and it does. The cantilevered deck soars over the premises and you’ll see amazing views of Longs Peak and the continental divide with ease. The cocktail lounge on the top floor is  perfectly situated to take advantage of the overlook, while still being under the large, open air roof. Under this roof is where a wedding would take place in case of weather issues.

As full time photographers here in Estes Park, this is one of our favorite wedding venues. We’ve worked here several times and it’s always fantastic. After visiting for just a short while you’ll realize the folks here have a hospitality that’s rare, even for a mountain town.

The Landing

The Landing in Estes Park has recently undertaken a huge transformation to accommodate all of the weddings that take place here. The new event hall boasts 3000 square feet of space for larger wedding ceremonies. If escape from the ordinary and tranquility is on your list of must haves for your wedding plans, The Landing should be one of the first Estes Park wedding venues to check out. A beautiful stream meanders it’s way next to the premises and don’t be surprised if elk pass through or stop a while to munch on the aspens and tall grasses across the stream.

Walking the grounds here, you can tell that no detail was overlooked. We love working here and look forward to seeing this place become a destination on it’s own.

Black Canyon Inn

The views from the Black Canyon Inn are it’s biggest selling point in our opinion. From the pavilion you are witness to Estes Park’s main attraction, Rocky Mountain National Park. Lumpy Ridge is the formation of mountains that line the north side of the Estes valley and they are nothing short of breathtaking.

The Della Terra Mountain Chateau

If you love romantic and calm with a bit of an Italian feel (think about an alley in Venice), the Della Terra Mountain Chateau would be your first choice. It’s nestled next to the Fall River Road entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park and has excellent views of Sheep Mountain to the south and Mcgregor Mountain to the north with less than a minute drive to the RMNP entrance. For years the Della Terra has been the place for extravagance and beauty. If you want to lose yourself and forget about time, this is your place!

The Romantic Riversong Bed and Breakfast

Quaint, tucked away, and quiet are the best ways to describe the Romantic Riversong Bed and Breakfast. This is the perfect venue in Estes Park for an intimate elopement or very small wedding. As the name implies, there is a river right next to the actual ceremony site. The only noises you’ll hear as you say your vows is the splashing of the water and the birds chirping in the nearby forest.

The folks here are fantastic and will take care of all of your wedding day needs. It’s always a pleasure to photograph here because the vibe is incredibly laid back and relaxed-perfect for a small wedding next to a river!

Wild Basin Lodge

If rustic and secluded are on “your list” of must haves, look no further than the Wild Basin Lodge. Located outside of town about 30 minutes, it is at the Wild Basin entrance to RMNP. With it’s massive beams and  “modern mountain” feel, it is high on the list of a lot of couples who are inviting a larger group and want a place to stay closeby. There are several choices for actual ceremony sites including a field overlooking Mount Meeker and an aspen grove, an outdoor amphitheater, and an inside option for inclimate weather.

The View at the Crags Lodge

The View is situated in the middle of town, on Prospect Mountain and the scene from the ceremony site is nothing short of breathtaking! After working here several times, we’ve found places on the grounds that are just a bit of a walk, but worth every step.

The Estes Park Resort

The Estes Park resort sits on the north side of Lake Estes and has fantastic views of the continental divide from nearly everywhere on the premises. They have recently built a new pavilion that overlooks the lake with massive wood beams overhead and a cool breeze throughout. The Estes Park resort is truly a place where everyone in your wedding party can stay and have a fantastic time!

The Stanley Hotel

We couldn’t have a list of venues in Estes Park without mentioning the Stanley Hotel. It is one of the most famous hotels in America and it sits right next to downtown Estes Park. If eclectic, traditional, and elegant are what you’re looking for, this is your place. It has seen thousands of weddings and for good reason. It’s beautiful, to say the least. It’s nice for us because it’s a ten minute walk from our home.

This is in no way a comprehensive list of all of the Estes Park wedding venues. It is only the ones we chose. There are many more, and as we work closely with this amazing town we will add more to this list.
