Kari and I went to Honolulu for the Hi On Life Conference to learn from some of our biggest influencers and we couldn’t pass up bringing our boys.
Hawaii was everything that it’s claimed to be. Honolulu is noisy, crowded, and full of touristy stuff. I did get to do one of my favorite runs of all time though, from our hotel to the top of Diamond Head– all the while listening to, you guessed it, Jack Johnson. I love the looks you get from people when they see you running up a mountain. All this aside, when you get to the North Shore of Oahu it is another world entirely. It is calm, peaceful, and everything you’d expect a totally rad, unspoiled island to be. The only real noise is the waves (big, big ones) crashing into the shore. We felt right at home. No wonder this is where the aforementioned Mr. Johnson makes his home (I’ve heard).
As you’ll see from the pictures, we hung out a little in Honolulu, then drove to the North Shore for some amazing food, slow life, and turtle watching on the same beach that the T.V. show “Lost” was filmed. We traveled to the Molokini Crater for some snorkeling and swimming, did some whale watching, swam a ton, chucked coconuts into the sea, wandered aimlessly, hung out with sea turtles, ate delicious food, got completely worked, and got major sunburns. More after the pictures…
