Now that I’m a Colorado Photographer…
1. What I’m up to…
My passion is wedding photography, and I love it. It’s what I think about more than anything. This blog is kind of “turning a corner” in that I will be posting more about who I am as a Colorado photographer who has a wife, two boys and happens to live in one of the most beautiful places in the US. I feel as though it’s too easy to make yourself look good in posts and pictures without showing who you really are. So…while I will still be posting about weddings and engagements I will also be posting about my life here.
2. What I love…
Since we’ve moved here on September 30th of last year we’ve been busy! Almost every day we’re outside “doing” something, and I’ve taken a camera with me. The shots below are from our adventures either with each other, or with friends. Some of them are just cool shots that I dig. Taking a camera with me is something I do pretty religiously. Inevitably, whenever I forget to bring it, something amazing happens and I end up using my iPhone, which then causes a slew of angry words because it doesn’t have the depth of field that I love.
3. Being honest…
What I want to be is more transparent as a photographer and as a person. While my gallery is full of wedding images, I also shoot a lot of images that wouldn’t “fit” on a wedding blog that are still great images. I want to start to show more of those. We’ve got a lot to take pics of up here and this is the perfect place to display them. While it’s true that I’m a wedding photographer, I’m also a lifestyle photographer who takes a camera everywhere with him. I hope you enjoy this new level of transparency and the images to come.
