As far as wedding venues go, it doesn’t get any more classic than the Stanley Hotel
The famous Stanley Hotel sits on a prominent hill in Estes Park, and is visible from almost every corner of town. It is a wonderful, vintage hotel that has a history of being THE wedding destination here. It is host to over a hundred weddings every year. There are five indoor, as well as numerous outdoor wedding venues on the property. Each of the venues at the Stanley Hotel has a different feel and you would need to see each to make sure you know how to plan your day. There are 140 rooms available for your guests and each is crafted to hold true to the “Neo-Georgian” style that F. O. Stanley wanted. Visually the Stanley Hotel is quite remarkable and stunning from every angle. It makes the perfect backdrop for an amazing wedding day. Beautifully crafted wood floors and stairways with grand, majestic fireplaces and leather couches are just a few of the many wonderful things to see in lobby of the Stanley Hotel. There is even a classic “Stanley Steamer” automobile that Mr. Stanley is also famous for.
From a distance the Stanley Hotel is overshadowed by the bare faces of Lumpy Ridge in Rocky Mountain National Park. The town of Estes Park sits in its foreground and is close enough that you’ll never even need to start your car to get everything you need. You can take a stroll through downtown and cross over the Big Thompson river many times as you shop, dine, and hang out with friends in this great mountain town.
